Mark Anthony Mason, Jr. age 53, of Smithville passed away Tuesday February 24, 2026, at his residence. He was born April 5, 1972, to his parents the late Mark and Sherri Ann Young Mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, James T. Young. Mr. Mason worked in Construction. He is survived by three children, Mark D. J. Mason of Columbia, and Renny Ann Young of Indiana, and Michelle Antoinette Mason of Tennessee; grandchildren, Waylon Jax Mason, Wyatt James Mason; siblings, Carl, Spring, Nikki, and Chrystal; grandmother, Mabel Young. The family has honored Mr. Mason's request to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Mason family.
